Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips is a recent convert to the masterful
sounds of Ester Drang. He purchased a cd after the Drang recently
opened for Wheat. It's rumored that they earned a notch in their guitar
for the evening. Ester Drang played several shows in the midwest,
overcoming car problems to make many of the shows, including the Fireside
Bowl in Chicago. Thanks to everyone who came out in support of the
band. Ester Drang collaborated with members of Unwed Sailor and Lasso
to record a side project, Circle of Birds. The project was originally
set to be a special fall split cdep between Ester Drang and Unwed
Sailor, but the project grew into something more and different, incorporating
their good friends in Lasso. More details on a release date soon.
More touring is planned for late summer and early fall, potentially
            with Unwed Sailor.

full-length album, Fragments Of. This long awaited full-length is

with Somerset from 1999. Mastering and graphic design will take place
soon in anticipation for an August/September release. Extensive touring
is planned in conjuction with the cd release.

Scientific's From the Nest of Idea has been repressed with the 3 songs
from the 7" "How Will You See Yourself in the Next Twenty-Four Hours"
added. The band will be recording with David Bazaan the next two weeks
and will be doing some limited live appearances prior to the release

Everything has been sent off for the new Jetenderpaul 7" " A Casualty
Too Serious Too Afford" which will be released on Burnt Toast Vinyl
and Hype City Records (Norway). Much discussion was made on format
and the 7" is the winner. Look for this in August. Jetenderpaul has
been invited to play CMJ in NYC this year, also. More details about
their showcase date, time, and location will be given in the near
future. There is much excitement for the opportunity to see the increasingly

Recording and mixing is complete for Damien Jurado's Four Songs one
sided LP for Burnt Toast Vinyl. The LP ironically includes four songs
on the first side, with the reverse being an etching featuring a short
story by Adam Voith. Mastering and pressing will take place soon for
            an August release.
