Life was breathed into ply sometime in
the winter of 1996, and soon after evolved into the working entity of its creator.
Following many skinned knees and discouragements, two songs were finally etched into
history sometime in the middle of the summer of 1997 by a small group of diverse musicians
with the same mindset. The recorded songs reflected and captured the emotion of the group
at that time. With no expectations placed on the outcome of the two songs, the future of
ply was unsure.
Soon after the release of Mendel's Daughter and St. Louis, 1956 on Water Records vinyl, an
overwhelming response encouraging the growth and continuation of the group was felt by the
members. Ply decided to keep creating music, and with the addition of new members came a
new found sense of inspiration and sound. So until the next time...
We shall wait and see where the winds of inspiration take us. We shall wait and see where
our lives lead us. And it's all just rock and roll... |
